Watching and waiting on Sunday

Updated Sunday, 1:15 p.m. The Albert Haynesworth story continues with no real timetable for the defensive tackle to take his next conditioning test. He did not run Sunday morning but was on the field with defensive coordinator Jim Haslett and defensive line coach Jacob Burney after practice for some individual work. Coach Mike Shanahan said Haynesworth reported in early on Saturday and "his knee was irritated." The doctor recommended no running, so the two sets of 300-yard shuttle sprints must wait. He has twice failed to pass and prove to Shanahan that he is in football shape, though he looks much leaner than last year. "He's getting to see what we're doing on the field and in the classroom," Shanahan said. "Even though he's not out there in pads, he's still getting a lot of work."
