Hi Redskins Fans,

    What do you get when you combine 42 beautiful cheerleaders, amazing photographers, the best glam squad in the NFL and paradise?....The best Washington Redskins Cheerleader (WRC) Calendar yet. The Redskins are one of the only NFL cheerleading squads that takes all of their cheerleaders to an exotic location for their photoshoot. This year's calendar was shot in the Dominican Republic at the Paradisus Luxury Resort Punta Cana. This all inclusive resort is more than you could have imagined and provided some interesting scenery for our calendar. The clear ocean water, beautiful pools, restaurants with modern decor and rustic backdrops with huts and vines are just a few examples.  The wardrobe ranged from swimsuits to redskins inspired attire to body paint. Our bodypaint artist definitely outdid herself this year with some interesting pieces of art that will have you doing a double take and asking yourself...Is that paint or is that really a swimsuit? Morning and evening photoshoots occurred daily and there were often two photoshoots occurring at the same time.  That made for some interesting cardio as cheerleaders ran back and forth between simultaneous photoshoots to support their teammates.  All shoots began with hair and makeup...4am for morning shoots and 3pm for evening shoots. In between the morning and evening shoots we practiced for our variety show performance. In the evenings we had organized team activities (OTAs). LOL. These OTAs included a V.I.P. reception and team dinner. Once all the shoots were completed it was time for some football.  Weeks earlier when we were in the U.S., we were divided into 4 flag football teams and competed for the chance at the WRC flag football championship game. Two teams, the Big Mamas and the Bonecrushers, advanced to the finals.  What could be a better location for our WRC Super Bowl than the sandy beaches of Punta Cana.  Those of us who were not playing in the game were cheerleaders on the sidelines. : ) The game was quite intense with the Big Mamas and Bonecrushers going head to head and trading touchdowns.
The game ended in a tie but I predict a rematch in the future. The day of our variety show quickly arrived and it was great to perform our routines for a theater full of fans.  The hour long show consisted of singing, various styles of dance and costumes changes and ended with our signature routine, Proud. Proud is a tribute to the military service men and women who protect our country. This was definitely a working vacation but we found some time to do a couple of activities such as parasailing and swimming with dolphins.  In the blink of an eye the trip was over. We left the Paradisus Punta Cana but returned to the U.S. with lots of memories that we will never forget and a calendar that's our
best yet.
