Portis in Pittsburgh

RB Clinton Portis was in Pittsburgh on Friday at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center seeing the same doctors who evaluated Philadelphia's Brian Westbrook's concussion. It is not known whether Portis will accompany the Redskins to Dallas but he was ruled out of the game on Thursday by coach Jim Zorn and has not practiced. UPMC's Sports Medicine Concussion Program is the first and largest and largest clinical research program of its kind. Portis suffered a concussion in two weeks ago in the Atlanta game and did not play last Sunday against Denver, though he was on the field in street clothes. Westbrook, who has suffered two concussions this season, was in Pittsburgh Wednesday and is expected tohave more detailed testing in the next few weeks.
