Hire and hire

The Redskins announced on Friday that Steve Jackson would return to the staff for the coming season in the same job he previously held, coaching the safeties. Jackson has been with the Redskins since 2004. They also announced the hiring of offensive assistant Sean McVay. McVay held a similar post with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2008 and worked last fall in the United Football League with the Florida Tuskers. The Tuskers went 6-0 under coach Jim Haslett, recently named the Redskins defensive coordinator, before falling in the inaugural UFL title game. Two jobs yet to be filled -- receivers coach and special teams coach. Earlier in the week the Redskins named six assistant coaches, including offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan.

  • I think we are doing a PHENOMINAL job of getting rid of the "good ole boys" in the coaching staff and sticking with those that are actually effective leaders. However, they are not they only fat that needs to be trimmed in order for us to progress!! It is the players on the field and on the sideline that actually PLAY the game!! We now have almost all of the brilliant tacticians that our team needs ... NOW is the time to move the following moves:

    FREE AGENCY - 1. Logan Mankins, 2. Jared Gaither, and 3. Taitusi Lutui.


    ALL OTHER HOLES CAN BE FILLED IN THE DRAFT AND WE WILL BE A POWERHOUSE AGAIN!! HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!! FIGHT FOR OLE DC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I would give anything to be on that sideline and in that locker room. I don't care what area of coaching, just let me bring the FIRE...
